France - Fortified gate of
the city of Fauroeulx Quesnoy
This stamp depicts the bridge and fortified gate to the city of Fauroeulx Quesnoy in the Northern department of France. The city was a stronghold for the German army during World War I. Near the end of the war, the city was liberated by forces from New Zealand.
