Armenia - Europa year of the Circus
Every year the members of PostEurop, the European post offices
department under the Universal Postal Union (UPU), issue a stamp under a
common theme. The year 2002 has been designated as - Year of the
Circus. This stamp from Armenia depicts one of the common themes of a circus - a magicians top hat with cards, birds and steamers coming out of it. This was part of a 2 stamp set honoring the circus theme.
